WEST BAY PILIPINO MULTI-SERVICE, Inc.
175 7th Street San Francisco, CA 94103

West Bay Pilipino Multi-Service, Inc. (West Bay) is the premier non-profit organization ( NPO), open and available to Filipino-Americans and our diverse community.

West Bay has been in existence for over 40 years, serving the Filipino community and other ethnic groups in the areas of public health, employment and housing. There are programs for children and youth such as after-school tutoring, homework assistance and other services to keep youth motivated in education, keep them off the streets and from violence, and provide guidance as they mature to adulthood. West Bay also provides assistance to Filipino veterans of WWII through advocacy for Full Equity, free office space for their meetings and other activities. Support for Filipino veterans is part of West Bay services to the community. In addition, West Bay provides support groups, counseling, mental health, information and referrals, employment assistance, crisis hotline, and many other services that only West Bay has the capacity and experience to provide.

West Bay operates in the South of Market Area of The City. In addition to 7 paid employees, the agency has over 15 volunteers and 2 college master/doctoral interns performing different responsibilities in the organization. The agency has 3 contracted program with the City & County of San Francisco and private foundations in California. During its 39 years of existence, the agency has at all times been in full compliance with all Federal, state, and local regulations including reporting requirements for its funders. It continues to deliver its services to our people with the utmost integrity to this day.

West Bay enjoys the support of the community for its 39 years of excellent track record in community services. It received numerous recognitions from different governmental agencies (Federal, State and Local) and private foundations that fund the organization. The agency has the support and respect of City leaders and agencies.

Private and corporate donations allow West Bay to continue providing services desperately needed by mostly immigrant Filipino population. West Bay's operations are concentrated in the South of Market Area. That is one of the poorest neighborhoods of San Francisco where there is a high concentration of Filipino residents. Paramount concern to us should be the preservation of our community service agencies including West Bay. We need to maintain the number of our NPOs open to proportionately serve the Filipino American population base.
